Im so tired of seeing people with the "Oh woe is me, im always the victim and can do no wrong ever" mentality. Like bro ypu can be wrong... it is okay... sometimes you fuck up... that is okay. Just learn from it and do better ffs
it was my enthusiasm for BL that brought me to read TSHD but TSHD really isn't BL but something else entirely. it's such a unique and special queer story and even if i've entered the fandom at a rather tumultuous time i'm really glad i discovered it <3
what makes it special to me is the fact that i've been both. i grew up as hikaru, who didn't know being queer was an option and insisted that i was straight.
but i'm yoshiki now. i grew up, got out, and learned humans are a lot more complex than i thought. it's beautiful.

The law doesn't protect children. It protects patriarchy.
hijab or no hijab, forcing women to cover and forcing them to uncover are two sides of the same coin. both violate bodily autonomy, strip women's right to choose. it's control disguised as morality and liberation. a woman’s body is not a battleground for anyone’s ideology.
our society treats friendships as lesser than relationships and people tend to believe friendships can't be traumatic, when in reality, something as small as a fight with a friend could affect you forever.
Man it's so hard being an og Hikaru fan when most of his other fans can't accept that he's a SIDE character...like the main focus has ALWAYS been Yoshiki and 'Hikaru'... honestly I think a lot of ppl downplay 'Hikaru' bc they can't handle an aroace main character :(
rock was created by black artists during the jim crow era, metal was an escape for working class youth and was heavily influenced by war and unemployment ... i don't know why people just don't read into how most of the genres even came to be. yes it will always be political
