I've trained quite a few folks on M134s over the years and if the gun is on a mount like this (i.e. not on a vehicle of some sort) the T&E should be locked at first as most new folks have no comprehension, regardless of how many times you warn them, of the torque that happens on the first few rounds.

It seems the Russian instructor here didn't lock the T and maybe didn't lock the E either on this YakB-12.7 and he was instantly reminded of why that's important 👀💀

Train accordingly...

MG3 tuned to run plastic low recoil training ammo. Really finnicky to get to run right, but it's way cheaper than live ammo.

Although they may look like blanks, it fires a 10 grain plastic projectile at over 4000 fps, enough to be reportedly lethal out to 300 yards!
