@CollinRuaneOMA@guypbenson Well, if it was up to me, I'd like to see Obergefell overturned because it was a bad decision and I'd fight for equal privileges for same sex partners. I don't like anyone doing end arounds of the constitution to suit their needs.βοΈ
@CollinRuaneOMA@AnthonyCingle@guypbenson I'm all in on adhering to the Constitution. What seems to be escaping you is that the vast majority of the country accepts SSM and it was being recognized at the state level...one by one. Obergefell shit on the process though.
@CollinRuaneOMA@guypbenson I'm for same sex marriage, but I oppose everything that subverts federalism. Prior to Obergefell many states were recognizing SSM. You seem to be willing to cast aside the constitution for personal gain. I would hope if I were in your shoes I wouldn't do the same.
@AnthonyCingle@guypbenson I think it would be horrible, but it would be their constitutional right. I also think it would be proper for other states to not do business with them to pressure them to change their stance on the issue.
@AnthonyCingle@guypbenson Yes! I can't imagine a single state not allowing it but marriage should not be a federal issue. The federal government needs to be kept in the smallest box possible.
@CollinRuaneOMA@guypbenson You couldn't be more wrong. Nowhere in the constitution is the right to be married. Marriage should only be a religious covenant anyway. States regulated marriage because the constitution says that powers not expressly given to federal gov. remain with the states.
