@BredsguardDalen@jake22_h Usually go on 2 molars on each side. Gotta use a key to turn it. It's different now than on the 90s. We would do 1 turn a day every day for some many days. Now, my kid has theirs turned like once every other week.
"You don't have to do carnivore to lose weight. Didn't you say you already lost weight with a diet full of plants?"
Yes, I did.
Between the ages of 33-35, I dropped 115 lbs. How?
Diet and exercise.
I went from eating the SAD with plenty of carbs, seed oils, and sweets to a diet full of plants, whole food carbs, and lean meats.
I went from drinking coffee and soda all day to drinking only water.
I went from not exercising at all to riding my bike many miles every week.
As I dropped weight, developed endurance, and got stronger, I took even harder routes on my bike, climbing up grades or riding further miles.
And yes, I dropped 115 lbs. I think anyone could drop that much weight by making the changes I did.
But, here's the kicker. I didn't keep the weight off for long. Not even one year.
At 35, my life became a lot busier. I enrolled in full-time college classes while also working full-time and being a mom.
I kept up with the same diet full of plants, whole food carbs, and lean meats. But, time for exercise slowed down a lot. Without the exercise, my weight began to creep back up.
I tried to lower the calories and eat even leaner, but I was always hungry, always craving. I didn't have as much time to prep all of my meals and snacks. I began to grab takeout food sometimes.
Eventually, I gained back 80 lbs.
Gaining back that much weight after working so hard to lose it was so defeating. I felt like I failed myself.
At 44 years old, I weighed 250 lbs and was struggling with some health issues.
So, I decided to try and lose weight again.
I was already eating what I thought was a fairly healthy diet full of plants and lean meats. But I did indulge in takeout food and sweets at times.
So, I got strict with my diet again. Heavy in plants, whole food carbs, some lean meats, and low-fat dairy. No takeout. No sweets.
I started road cycling and lifting weights again. I did that consistently for almost 2 years.
Guess what happened?
I lost 40 lbs, about 8", my body fat didn't decrease too much, and I didn't even look like I had lost weight. Plus, none of my health issues resolved.
At 46, I decided to try carnivore.
Within one week, I noticed a huge increase in energy and a few of my health issues resolved.
Within one month, I only lost about 10 lbs, but I lost 8". The same amount of inches that took almost 2 years to lose on my previous diet.
I was losing inches and fat, plus all of my health issues resolved. Even other issues resolved. Issues that I didn't even realize were issues. Issues I had not even connected to diet. Issues that I thought were more related to my age.
Everything was better.
Within 6 months, I was healthier, leaner, faster, and stronger with more energy, endurance, and stamina than I have ever had in my life.
When I lost 115 lbs in my 30s, I thought I was very healthy. I didn't realize that I had to do an insane amount of exercise to burn through all the whole food carbs I was eating.
I didn't realize that my body needed fat. I thought it needed carbs and plants.
For the past 3 years, I have thrived with a carnivore way of eating.
I've strayed a few times from carnivore, indulging in some carbs or adding back in some foods that aren't animal based, and I not only begin to notice health problems returning but I also begin to gain weight again.
For the past 3 years, I’ve noticed that I'm so much happier and healthier with a carnivore way of eating.
I turned 49 today. By this time next year, I want to be my healthiest, fittest, and most muscular self.
I have goals for my 50th birthday, and they're all fitness goals 💪
White people in 1960s Chicago were scared that the civil rights act would change their neighborhoods.
Turns out, they were right.
The Italian, Irish, and Polish neighborhoods are gone, and they’re never coming back.
And it was mostly third world immigration that caused it
