Go look at how that Giants Commanders game ended. Or the Browns Jets. Bears got the doors blown off em by the Packers. Falcons lost in OT and folks acting like the season's over. I don't get it.
Genuinely hope he can improve his short passes and we can win a super bowl with him. He has an amazing story.
But if he’s our long-term answer… another injury sadly just feels like a matter of *when* and not a matter of *if* at this point.
@SpeakSoftMike If Penix could function under pressure and makes this short pass to Bijan to finish off the game with a win… then all of that could’ve been prevented btw. Penix is equally at fault here.
@falconshateme I wouldn’t have criticized Penix for this nearly as much if he stayed in OT and just handed the ball off to Bijan. Because at least he would’ve showed toughness. But the fact that he let Tua in the game during that moment is what pisses me off.
@falconshateme Matthew Stafford dislocated his shoulder during his rookie year, stayed in the game, and led his team to a victory. A franchise QB doesn’t let “Tua” take command of the most important drive of the game.
@InBijanWeTrust Idt many people actually think he’s “awful” though.
Can we trust that he can stay healthy? What happens when the pocket collapses? What does he do when the 1st read gets taken away?
those are the real questions we should be asking on whether he’s the franchise QB or not.
@Devon2481 He’s too scared to get hit, which obviously impacted the throw. He’s 1-16 this year passing when under pressure, injury prone, and has almost 0 mobility.
Penix is a great guy and can push the ball down field but I just don’t know if the franchise should build him long-term.
@notDre13@TreyyFromGA nobody is blaming the game on him. it’s just the fact that he took one big hit and then he let “Tua” take over his spot in the most important drive of the game. unacceptable if he wants to be the franchise QB
