The community and I have decided to back these three projects through @onetreeplanted for our 45,000 trees. 🌲
I appreciate all of you who bought one of the mousepads making this possible. Even though the scale of nature is vast, trying to help in any way is a win.
Thank you.
@BDSixsmith@westlypenny This is the proper take. We are experiencing the product and symptoms of events that are playing out in a historical cycle. We are still deeply entrenched in this cause and effect process.
@nickriggle @JacksonKernion Public can be used to describe accessibility, right? I'm not sure that public philosophy is any more misleading than a public bathroom.
@JustinCaouette The public in public philosophy refers to anyone that hasn't been trained in academic philosophy. It's about engaging a viewpoint that is unreachable within traditional academia. Twitter only counts if you aren't just engaging with trained academics.
@philosophybites The first time one hears this quote from Aurelius are they to take it is false or meaningless?
To be taken as true is to accept that he asserted a fact and refuted himself.
Announcing REALITY: a journal of philosophical discourse.
“Why another journal? Aren’t there too many already? Why not just publish in something that is already established?”
There are many—perhaps too many—philosophy journals in existence today 1/ [https://t.co/vRa67xcaR5]
I agree with treating the symptoms, but it is entirely discouraging to see such a restricted view applied everytime we experience tragedy.
Treat the symptoms in the short term, but identify cause and treat the cause. This should be our primary concern.
@Themightychops 'Influential' needs some context else it's a bit unclear in what way these games influenced.
Influential to other games, developers, gamers?
