Google's founders just made the riskiest comeback in history.
After walking away from their $2.4 TRILLION empire in 2019...
An AI breakthrough is now threatening to destroy everything they built.
Here's why their heroic return might be a little too late: ๐งต

ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE ON ERITREAN REFUGEES
โHello Dr Spire. My name is Abdallah Okungu from Tororo.
Please here me out and if possible, publish my write up on your X regarding the Eritreans.
1. South Sudan is flooded with Ugandan industrial products because of Eritreans. They're engaged in export trade to risky areas of South Sudan, where Ugandan traders won't dare reach. Trailers filled with Ugandan products reach Juba then reloaded onto "sinotrucks" and then transported all the way to war raveged areas of North Sudan (Khartoum). Ugandan sugar, soap, cement, baking flour & many more are now available in North Sudan and that is direct foreign (dollar) earnings to Uganda.
2. Majority of The very rich Eritreans have major businesses in south Sudan but all their family members stay in Uganda. That's why they can afford those expensive apartments which, any case a Ugandan won't rent. So most of the profits they make in South Sudan are repatriated to Uganda in terms of rent, feeding school fees etc. And that is a direct foreign (dollar) earning for Uganda.
3. Those with small grocery shops/salons/bodaboda/bars & restaurant have relatives in either Canada, UK, USA etc who send them dollars monthly. And that is another foreign ( Dollar) earning for Uganda.
4. There're several Ugandans employed by those Eritreans not only in Uganda but especially in South Sudan where about 90% hotel workers are Ugandans, in fact, there's very bad animosity & bias against Ugandans (for taking up all jobs) by South Sudanese. Remember, Ugandans are paid highly & in US Dollars unlike the south Sudanese who're paid by the very depreciated south Sudan pounds. All Ugandans send the dollars back home cuttersy of the Eritreans.
5. Previously, the expensive apartments in Munyonyo, buziga, gaba & other places were being occupied by the dollar "rich" south Sudanese. Landlords & brokers were happy but poor Ugandans were enviously complaining. Now the south Sudanese are broke, the apartments are empty yet envious, ever complaining Ugandans can't occupy them. It's only the Somalise, Ethiopians & Eritreans who occupy most of those expensive apartments with money that comes from outside of Uganda.
6. In Northern Uganda (Amuru & Nwoya), the vast lands that were previously being roamed by the LRA rebels are now huge comacial farms owned owned by Indians, Pakistanis and the "bazungu" who ran away from Mugabe of Zimbabwe and others from south Africa. There's huge production of rice, sesemi, Maine etc. hundereds of Ugandans are employed there (I must admit, the wages are really miserable) but Uganda is food secure, so much so that food is exported especially to south Sudan and North Sudan and the dealers are Eritreans. Ugandan earns foreign (Dollar) from them.
Meanwhile, Xenophobic, lazy and envious Ugandans blame their misfortune on foreign nationals and want government to intervene.
Qtn 1; How rich are the Ugandans that President Idd Amin donated to the shops & businesses that were confiscated from the expelled Indians?
Qtn 2: where are they?
Qtn 3: if the government indeed intervenes and expels the Eritreans, will the fortunes of the complaining Uganda immediately change?
Qtn 4: what exactly have Eritreans deprived those xenophobic Ugandans, were their lives any better before the arrival of the Eritreans?
Qtn 5: How did the Indians who were expelled to the UK fair upon reaching there? Were they enslaved? Are they currently very poor or rich again?
My own plea to Ugandans; stop complaining & the envy . Get to know your weaknesses. No governments will put food on your table unless you are a refuge in the U.N IDP camp.โ
