Tldr: JP government likely pressuring JP companies to replace Western "Localizers" with Ai translations. I have opinions.

Big news has been circulating in the anime/manga side of the website - the Japanese Government is going big into the anime/manga industry with a twist.

The industry appears to be phasing out the establishment "Localizers" in favour of Ai translations. The usual suspects the Western "Localizers" are up in arms, panicking and complaining about this state of affairs, obviously.

Now I do want to say with honesty - that I have zero sympathy for the "localizers" who go around vandalising every single source material from Japan and elsewhere, mocking attacking and smearing you for noticing the problems...

Now as their "jobs" are at risk, they are begging for support and solidarity? No. They have not done the same for any of us who are fans of anime and manga, in fact all the feelings they have for us, is malice, loathing and unrestrained disdain.

So scratch that, not only do I have zero sympathy for the "Localizers", I have negative sympathy. In fact, even the most ardent Ai haters offer a level of tolerance for Ai on this matter.
