For those of you still confused about how builds work in Smite 2 (dw, it’s simple):

There are physical damage characters and magical damage characters. Phys only does phys dmg, mag only does mag dmg

There are 2 dmg item stats. Strength and int. Some characters scale off all strength, some all int, and some are a mix

Building int. on a phys character doesn’t make them do magical dmg, even if their build has traditional mag. smite 1 items.

Auto attacks mostly scale off pure strength though, so if you want to be auto attack Sol, you build strength. But you still are doing magical dmg.

If you want to be tanky against that sol, you build magical defense. If you want to be tanky against that neith, you build phys defense.

Use this as a cheat sheet and if you ever get confused for whatever reason, just copy good player’s builds like you did in smite 1 😜
