@softbluelizard@mattbramanti it moves fast as shit, literally feels like a wind tunnel at max speed, during the last few weeks of mortar training in OSUT they have three of these under an awning that only blessed platoons get to sleep under
@joopto_@Ro_BetoTGB nothing about the rifle shown is Block 1.5( even if Block 1.5 was real) Block 1.5 refers to a Block 1 rifle with Block 2 accessories and optics
@Docquistador my go to pants for the field, they are thicker than a doubled up moving blanket though, and you’re not lying about the swamp that forms. 4-5 days no shower or change of pants and these are a nasal biohazard when going to a knee
@ErolBayburt1@robkroese lol in the army my job description was Fire Direction Center Computer, and also usually consisted of using a computer to do our job, but we were proficient in the analog means of computing fire missions.
@ember_arlynx@Manu_Stu@42irrationalist I’ve got nothing more to add. You’ve actually changed my mind on the matter, or at the very least given me the ability to see your viewpoint very clearly in a way I could accept . thanks for teaching me a new word too. Proprioceptive
@ember_arlynx@Manu_Stu@42irrationalist outside of walking blind with your hand in front of you, non visual navigation is memory and object permanence. and you couldnt rely on everything to make auditory signal to help you discern distance
@maiab@statueofcritic@rsgnl doesn’t happen anywhere, guess what happens if a tipped employee doesn’t make enough tips to cover or exceed standard minimum wage, the difference is covered by the employer to bring it up to the standard rate.
@DocStrangelove2 best case scenario is that this is just a cover for a more traditional transponder that’s incapable of being detected, worst case scenario is that this exists and the govt willfully doesn’t use it domestically to find missing people
@mattbramanti i love BOB as much as the next guy, but i always wonder why they felt the need to negatively embellish some of their stories, LT Dyke for example. By all accounts he was a decent officer who fought in multiple battles with honor.
@justasbefuddled@WeaponOutfitter it comes from the japanese grade scale, unsure if still used, but it was used by naruto in the early 2000’s and that’s the extent of my anime timeline lol
