Nobody wins, certainly not YOU, when there's an ego so bruised, so trigger happy the brain can't ease its grip.

My point, which you continually fail to address, is what is the point of bitching about a movie's productionvchoices before the movie is produced?! If the actors, writers,and director have done their job, you will not be preoccupied debating most production choices. If you are continually drawn away from the STORY, PERFORMANCES, then they have failed you.

My background is in TV, occasional film, and documentary prod before retirement. I worked exclusively with writers on every production. No script or all its changes was evervproduced without every massive, mediocre, or minuscule prod change recorded to alert everyone involved in that days' shooting.

l was often privy to discussing how/why changes were made, occasionally expressing SADNESS that Grace's Hotdog Stand was being used instead of my sentimental favorite, Der Wienersnitzel. Only to find out this hardly had any bearing on what is crucial in the scrne that appears in the course of the finished, edited footage.
And if the production change was madsive enough, my department was responsible for adjusting jokes, dialogue, character motivation, etc.

My primary objection was and iis people WITHOUT any hands-on experience jumping the gun almost TWO YEARS in ad ance, no footage available, or discussion with on-site personnel.

No, I never went to film school, but I got a superior education in how and why the process can work, or how it can fail misserably. I listened then and I listen now to non-production people, discuss what they see. I do not assume ANYBODY has a background in production, thus your hair caught on fire. But if you had chosen to put your egoulistic needs aside, we might have had a USEFUL discussion about changes to the production process.and people I've worked with.

But this is NOT where your unnessary indugnation took us by YOU discounting my original point, which I AM STILL MAKING TO THIS MINUTE.

That's YOUR loss.

With MANY conditions shifting on any unexpected day, you do what you have to do because it could mean a greater loss later in your schedule. Ask any working producer.
