He warns parents against the "busy, busy, busy" trap of the world and explains why it is essential to demonstrate to your children that faith always comes before the game.
Spring and Summer will bring longer days regardless of what we do to our clocks.
Here's the rub with DST. You concentrate sun exposure in the evening where literally nothing happens on the phase response curve (red arrow) instead of concentrating it in the morning where there is literally the maximal phase response (green arrow).

The point is that our eyes are primed to receive light in the morning as a result of hardwiring. Taking away light in the morning and adding it to the evening is a bad. This is evidenced by the fact that populations that live on the western edge of a time zone (DST-like) sleep less, have more obesity, and are less metabolically healthy than those living on the eastern edge of the same time zone (ST-like).
These are facts.
Evening light is pleasant.
But morning light is essential.
It’s one of the most powerful biological signals your body receives.
Morning sunlight shuts off melatonin, boosts serotonin, and sets your circadian clock for the entire day.
Kids especially benefit. Morning light is linked to better attention, improved sleep, and lower rates of depression and anxiety.
Daylight Saving Time delays winter sunrises, leaving millions waking in darkness. It goes against our biology.
Enough already.

Daylight savings means that it’s going to be harder to get morning sunlight before you go to work where you stay inside far away from any infrared light.
This is not good for your health.
It starts tomorrow in most states.
Permanent Standard time would be better for your health.
