Geese are good pets. They also have strong opinions, but are willing to hear other opinions. Geese may also honk if provoked, sometimes at very strange hours.
HOW TO GET A COLLEAGUE TO PRETEND YOU DON’T EXIST
ask them to do something and then send them regular Claude generated suggestions about how to do said task.
@BraedendotTECH I have a theory that it is post-covid remote work culture, not the tools.
Everyone silos, there is a deep aversion to collaboration. The best software I’ve created, ai generated or not, involved strong collaboration. It sparked deep conversations and understanding.
@OwenShroyer1776 We need some reporter to just start claiming everything from the Oval Office was purchased from the dollar store and that the White House is filthy. Guy won’t be able to think about anything else.
@neetcode1 If they were serious about their claims from the start, they would have identified the compute problems ahead of time. Tech workers are currently in an abusive relationship with these AI labs.
@neetcode1 On top of that, the fear of being left behind in the tech world is real. They stir that panic, token usage expands dramatically. Tech bro CEOs have basically stated “use this or you die”. Anthropic embraces that because they earn on every transaction.
@mcuban The value being recognized by enterprise users (much to InfoSec’s dismay) is in the OS level agents.
With local inference, existing security policy solutions can be utilized, context retrieval/actions for connected applications can be controlled, and processing can be contained.
@mcuban I think the local harnesses with local inference is the future. Apple (hardware) and Google (quantized models) appear to be targeting that already.
Web-app based inference automation, fundamentally, is too risky for enterprises. Too many opportunities for failure.
@devops_nk I was being ridiculed recently for speaking positively about Scrum and then I went into a rant about how hardly anyone is doing it correctly, which has has made the very term become hated. Explained what it actually is and now I have people dm’ing me about implementing it.
@RadioFreeTom I think the funny part of this little feud is the retorts you are getting are basically “Nobody likes you”. You better be careful @RadioFreeTom or you may get a swirly at lunch.
