On his third day in hospital, Pope Leo XIV’s doctors say his chest X-ray in the morning shows “good recovery of the lung that underwent surgery.”
The Pope carried his daily activities independently and continues a full range of physiotherapy, as his postoperative recovery progresses normally.

Fr. Costa said on the press briefing earlier for Amoris Laetitia that the Holy Father entrusted Cardinal Tagle to preside the mass on Wednesday. Fr. Costa also added that they will not published the final summary since Pope Leo wanted to read and add his reflections
Pope Leo XIV will be admitted to the Agostinho Gemilli Hospital tomorrow morning to have surgery. He is expected to remain in hospital for a week.
The Mass scheduled for Wednesday for the conclusion of the meeting on Amoris laetitia, will now be celebrated by Chito Cardinal Tagle.
In another change, the final summary report of this Amoris laetitia meeting will not be published until after the Pope himself has read, approved and given his own contributions to the document.
Let us keep the Holy Father in our prayers.
