Proof that CGI and practical are not automatically indicative of quality.

People are so quick to praise something when there’s seemingly no CGI because something being practically designed means there was more artistry and passion put into it, when that’s not always true.

CGI isn’t always just a means for people to be lazy and over reliant on computer imagery. It can be just as artful and cinematic as any other storytelling / filmmaking tool, and I love that Travis Knight is one of the few blockbuster directors who realizes that.

Tom Kane has sadly passed away at the age of 64.

He was best known as the iconic narrator of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’, as well as the voices of Yoda and Admiral Yularen. Kane also voiced Professor Utonium in ‘The Powerpuff Girls’.
