Apparently compliance are shutting us (at least temporarily) down now. Someone must have got to them. It was fun while it lasted. See you next week in the desert
@1Suga_Bear Through April it’s tough to find any real heaviness. And still a weather risk ahead for Brazil. Does the market need to go lower until we are through that risk? Not sure
Everyone we speak to on sugar is bearish. The specs are very short. Indians are not coming out here. Thai crop may not be as big as people think. Brazil weather risk ahead. Market can’t break down. Is next stop 16c rather than 14c? Looks like it
@ARealSugarExprt Look forward to your findings. From what we hear, 100 looks optimistic, 95 looks quite likely. 90 possible. Will the tail wag will be a key question this year it feels
Balanced views on the market it seems. It does feel that if we can’t get a rally through the fund roll we may be destined to retest the lows in the short term. Will the buying be there? Below 14.50 it was decent
Happy new year everyone! 2026 for the sugar market is starting much like 2025 finished with a full sideways market stuck between good buying below and selling above. Who will blink first and which way will the breakout happen?
Final poll of the year before we take a couple of weeks away from our slightly boring sugar market.
How much sugar will India export in q1 at current prices. And bonus if you comment in comments how much you feel might come out
Is anyone still trading sugar? Sometimes it feels with the lack of volume and story (and movement) that our market is losing interest right now. Are people still interested to trade this year. Are you still trading?
Increasing noises out of Thailand that this coming years sugar crop will disappoint. Disease, excess rainfall, poorly maintained cane. Could this be the next story for the market to trade?
@BClyde62937 A lot will no doubt depend on whether India will export or not. At a lower flat price that becomes more remote which should help premiums. At higher prices the opposite no doubt is true
Is the spread complex in sugar trying to tell us something about where the flat price might go? Have we reached peak bearishness? At least we have some movement coming back into what is a very negative sentiment market.
