If you watched the movie it’s so visible that she was a glorified maid to the guy. He slapped her in a room full of people. So sad that you think that it’s ok to put up with this behaviour. It’s not a bullshit concept to have self respect and courage to fight abuse.

So very disturbed today. My mother told me about her friend. Aunty is the most resilient woman I’ve ever seen. She was married off to someone who lived in Saudi. He was never home, never did anything. Would come, impregnate her. And leave. She gave birth to 4 children.
