@Davidchap9000@GeorgeTakei For most characters, casting is irrelevant beyond acting ability. If the character is *specifically* part of a certain group, someone from that group should be given first right of refusal to play them.
The problem is that they're rarely even given a casting opportunity.
@NWSPortland You forgot to add "If a powerline falls on your car, don't get out, or you'll end up like the three people who tragically died in NE Portland yesterday."
@SpookyEvilOne I started to watch season 2, but I just can't. I can't. I don't care of Sanderson and Harriet consulted, it's just too different. It's not the same story at all.
It breaks my heart because I WANT to watch it, but just get progressively more disappointed every few minutes.
@MTHouseGOP @RepMattRegier Refusing to let her speak is absolutely silencing her. If she speaks and violates the rules, that can be addressed in the moment by legislative rules. That's not what you're doing.
@KBinSC@MTFreedomCaucus@ItsMeThornyRose "Another" — Oh, so you agree that that's what 1/6 was and that those people are traitors under the Constitution? Good to know.
@Tryn2BKind@ErinInTheMorn Yes, but that's not the kind of attention they mean. It's not "we're hearing too much about it," it's "we're spending too much time and effort doing it."
i.e., Pols are wasting money and time, not getting any real work done, while they spend every moment focusing on this.
Lots of posts lately about polls on trans kids.
Here's what polls say about gender affirming care bans for trans youth:
1) Majority of Americans oppose them (march 2023)
2) Supermajority (incl. Republicans) say there is too much focus on anti-trans laws, they are a distraction.
