@CalvinBailey@redbridgelabour@WFLabourParty Congrats matey! We may not share the same political alignment but I know and trust that you will continue to serve as you always have done. With passion, integrity and immense dedication. Your constituents are lucky to have you as their MP. A
@LtGenStickland@BritishArmy@NATO@NATO_KFOR This is genuinely great to see the UK provide this much need support. I am somewhat sceptical, however, that the RAF moved anyone ‘at pace’. Especially on a trooper…
@SagaUK@SagaUK not interested in a £50 bung thank you. I wish for a meaningful conversation with somebody who is actually empowered to both make a decision and hold the team accountable to do what they're contracted to do.
@SagaUK@SagaUK I am authorised to speak on her behalf (as she's told your team) but she now has 4 pages correspondence with zero ownership from your company, an anonymity behind different departments blaming each other.
@pinstripedline @TDenn20 The forces have genuinely much bigger issues to consider, rather than a complete revisionist approach to the English Language. And part of this focus is parity of opportunity across the sexes, cultures, capbadge snobbery
@pinstripedline @TDenn20 Not advocating either position as I’m not really that bothered. But to answer your specific question because ‘man’ as in Guardsman or Craftsman doesn’t mean male. Its reference is ‘a human being of either sex; person: all men are born equal’.
@mandown46@pinstripedline@Strathavenbear Do you stop? Hence the mention of other devices. Anyway for ti run and find some rig to get in for scran. Think I might be Batman tonight 🤣
@mandown46@pinstripedline@Strathavenbear Very true.but as per my first comment this is much more than a suit - in fact most few messes I ever lived in ever really expected that, it remains the aspiration to be part of the mess and what it stands for. My point to Sir H was if you don’t aspire to that standard where
@pinstripedline@Strathavenbear So you’re right in a sense a tie doesn’t make you better, but standards allow people to want to be part of something. If not let’s just get of all uniform as well for the police as well and fire service. It doesn’t make them ‘better’ at their job but gives them an identity.
@pinstripedline@Strathavenbear It’s not about standards, it’s about etiquette. Aspiration too. Talking to my seniors and LE colleagues they aspired to join the cpls, SNCO and for some the offrs’ mess. They aspired and succeeded. Without it we reduce everything to the lowest common denominator.
