At Outcome Health, employees who admitted to personally committing the fraud were handed immunity and had their grand jury testimony scripted by prosecutors, while the founder they testified against was convicted and sent to prison.

Now, the Pritzker family is positioned to collect $50 million off the back of that conviction.

This is lawfare for profit, dressed up as justice.

The “Palm Beach Pete” story has taken a far more disturbing turn than most people initially realized, and it now demands serious public scrutiny.

Florida authorities reportedly demanded a DNA sample from him. Once those results came back and were reviewed by the state, the response was immediate: Palm Beach Pete reportedly fled the country.
Even more chilling is a specific clip that continues to circulate online. In the footage, he pulls up alongside a group of young women. When they ask if he is Palm Beach Pete, his reply delivered in a casual, almost predatory tone is something to the effect of “Yeah… how old are you?”

We make it far too easy for senators in the minority to use the filibuster to kill bills supported by the majority.

The whole idea behind the filibuster has, from the beginning, been to protect and prolong debate—not to cut off debate, forcing the Senate to abandon any bill that doesn’t immediately receive the support of at least 60 senators.

Filibustering is supposed to require far more than opposing cloture.

Especially for bills of exceptional national importance—like the SAVE America Act—senators should be required to hold the floor and speak.

The minute filibustering senators stop doing that, the legislation can and should be passed at a simple-majority threshold.

This is not a radical idea.

This describes what the filibuster is, how it has historically operated, and how it should work today.
