final sincere tweet about SPUR: if anyone couldn't make the show and would like to read a script or watch a recording, DM me! And if you are (or know of) a venue that would be interested in taking on a 3x⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, show-of-the-week-nominated genre-hijacking cowboy play, hmu!
The trouble with writing a play about NFTs is that if I tried to write a line of dialogue like this you'd all think I'd had a stroke. You really have to see it to believe it.
I reckon I was probably supposed to use this blog post to plug my show rather than talk about Beckett and sad robots but there is a link: that deciding what art means is not just an abstract exercise in interpretation but also a real, tangible exercise in economics
I love Abstract Art Discourse so much that I wrote about it for @CamdenPT's blog:
Who Decides What Art Means (and why can't it be me?)

The idea that "anything can be art" is a destructive notion that devalues art by implying works such as the Mona Lisa are of equal cultural value to a banana duct taped to a wall, and I find that notion wholly unworthy of respect.
(i think the really vital thing about 'banana taped to wall' (or 'urinal on a plinth') is that it continues to boil everyone's piss years (centuries!) later in a way that we should all aspire to)
Do you believe in fate? Do you believe in curses? Do you believe in Love at First Sight? Do you believe in Cryptographic Hash Functions?
🚨Work-in-Progress🚨
This is next week (!) and I promise I've almost finished writing it (!!) so please come

Also - very blessed to be co-creating this with the most excellent team: @_bethdrury, @lucyhavard97, & @MilesBlanch. Could not wish for a less fungible group of people to do this with.
@RamzeeRawkz @wearevault_@esoheuwadiae@ellielewerenz Ahhh this is so sad. V19/20/23 were all such big periods in my life. still look back at my notes from that writers group all the time. probably fair to say I wouldn't be writing or doing stage management without vaults. what a loss

hyped to be closing out #SPRINTfestival with a Crash.
For one night only: a very WIP showing of a very silly play about very silly people doing very silly things (making NFTs). Also: curses, bad poetry, AI soothsaying, lava lamps, fax machines, and the end of the goddam world.
