I need more women to speak up. A man will drop 100k a month and eat meat in all his meals and actually believe it’s his 100k that provided it?
Mr “I don’t know what my wife does with her salary”… she is feeding you with her salary.
What happened at the hospital changed how I see nurses forever.
In Nigeria, many people complain about nurses, their sharp tone, strict faces, and the way they say “next person!” like they’re angry. So when I got to the hospital that day and one nurse spoke to me with that same serious expression, I immediately assumed she was rude
The waiting room was full. Babies crying, someone’s aunt fanning herself with a file, one generator outside struggling for breath, and everybody murmuring about how long they had been there. Then an old man near the corner suddenly slumped from his chair. Before anyone could even process what happened, that same “rude” nurse ran faster than everyone in the room. She caught his head before it hit the floor, started shouting instructions, checked his pulse, called for oxygen, and somehow stayed calm while all of us were panicking.
For almost twenty minutes she didn’t stop moving. Sweat everywhere, gloves on, voice firm, eyes focused. The old man finally responded, and the whole room exhaled together. Then she stood up, adjusted her scarf, looked at the next patient and said, “Who is next?” in the same stern voice.
That was when it hit me, some people are not rude, they’re just carrying pressure we cannot see. Since that day, I’ve respected nurses differently. Nigeria will stress you, yet some people still show up daily to save lives.
I think I speak for most bar aspirants when I say that what contributes the most to the anxiety/fear while awaiting bar results is the vote of confidence given by friends and family.
Passing the exams is not just for your personal satisfaction but for the ones rooting for you.
It appears this post reached a lot of CTB candidates.
Yes, I will be taking Call to Bar Portraits. Further details will be communicated within the next couple days.
As I have always said, If you have a problem with menstrual blood, then just date a man. Women menstruate it is not news. And sometimes, mistakes will happen.
If you think this little blood messes up your car, then wait till she has to push a baby out in the car while you are stuck in jam rushing to the hospital, you will see real blood.
And if she had a heavy meal before labor begins, Number 2 will actually come out before the baby. So this is nothing lads.
As long as you are straight and love women, then terms and conditions apply.😉 abakyala bazira.
The anxiety I have felt post law school is really something because tell me why I am awake with my insides twisting, heart racing and a need to sh*t my guts out(pardon my French)😔
