@jack2023126230 @HawthorneFree @KevinIsRight99@C_3C_3 It is the job of the legislature to make law so this power to interpret the constitution lies with them. It is the president’s job to follow whatever congress passes. Not to ignore it and do what he wants. If the president can ignore decided law, we live in a lawless society
@JasonFischerFL@LeadingReport no this is actually propaganda from the republican party. democrats are trying to ensure obamacare subsidies that keep healthcare prices down for citizens don’t expire
@joeshmoenomo@LeadingReport Trump ignores laws that he doesn’t want to follow and when he’s held accountable he cries to the supreme court, which usually lets him ignore whatever he wants
@Asmith961524@YourAnonNews@WhiteHouse If the government shuts down because republicans won’t negotiate with democrats which is what’s happening, it’s still a republican shutdown. Democrats are representing the interest of their constituents and trying to make things better for constituents and being told to fuck off
@Bubblebathgirl@GuntherEagleman Also trump is wrong. 6.4% of NYC’s budget is provided by the federal government. 6% that’s not enough to do whatever trump thinks it will.
@Bubblebathgirl@GuntherEagleman Mamdani is a socialist. not a communist. and he’s been living in New York since he was 7. he’s 33. So that’s most of his life. more than long enough to make him a new yorker
@Leoleo86316501@EricLDaugh they don’t get social security checks, but they do pay into it. Illegals pay taxes which pay into benefits they don’t have access to
@The_Bubbadude@EricLDaugh it is a lie spread by republicans that illegals are on medicaid in order to excuse cutting funding to healthcare that will impact their own voters
@stevebrei@KarlKoc21102064@EricLDaugh Yes, which means republicans need to compromise instead of saying it’s democrats fault unless they rubber
stamp whatever the fascist cheeto wants.
@SoftBatch0558@KarlKoc21102064@EricLDaugh So the GOP expects to do whatever they want without collaborating with democrats, have democrats vote for it no matter what, and if they don’t because they have an agenda that VOTERS SUPPORT, it’s the democrats fault, and not the fault of the republican refusing to negotiate?
@TheImmortal007 @DerrickEvans4WV imagine thinking this is about a canceled tv show and not having the brains to realize it’s about the fact that the government isn’t allowed to decide what speech is and is not acceptable and can’t pressure companies to cancel shows because someone says something they dislike
@JTpowerup@MaryCerasi1@JamieBonkiewicz@DHSgov For morons who are also too blind to see that these masked agents are like fascist dictator Trump’s own Personal law enforcement yes that is too hard to say
@BDR0SEY@cjwalters4242 @doctordebunker @ClemsonUniv It did for a while post-2020 but as far as i see now that the cheeto is president again nobody fears publicly supporting him
@cjwalters4242@BDR0SEY @doctordebunker @ClemsonUniv Agreed. the initial claim “over 90% of republicans” approve of him is a very different statement than 90% of republicans surveyed support him. The current republican movement doesn’t support independent thought, so many dissenting voices likely don’t participate
@BDR0SEY @doctordebunker @ClemsonUniv This is true. But his policies are a departure from classic republican positions the GOP stood for as recently as 2012. In which case it’s absolutely possible to be a republican, but be a more traditional conservative that doesn’t stand for what trump does.
