Revive forgotten wisdom! Video content creator. Historical Apologetics. Old wisdom for new generations. Ecclesiastes 1:9, "There is nothing new under the sun."
@RationalityRule He drastically overstated and misstated this to the point of flat inaccuracy. Where does he suppose our system of laws comes from? Is he deliberately ignoring the whole abolitionist movement, spearheaded by Christians? "Organized," etc. - this wording is just evasive wordplay...
While there is “nothing new under the sun,” in one sense, there are new generations that must face the same challenges to faith that have assailed believers across the ages. Check out Dr. Michael L. Brown's new book, "Has God Failed You?"

Most outcomes of modern education are uneducated men. Our education is uneducation; its whole tendency is to unteach people the traditions of their fathers.
Poets do not go mad; but chess-players do. Mathematicians go mad, and cashiers; but creative artists very seldom...The poet only asks to get his head into the heavens. It is the logician who seeks to get the heavens into his head. And it is his head that splits.
In Him is no darkness at all! But what of the destruction of the Canaanites? Was this some kind of diabolical, evil act of a divine devil? Hear Richard Watson's response to Thomas Paine on this point... (Letter III, "An Apology for the Bible," 1796).

It is amazing how many people think that they can answer an argument by attributing bad motives to those who disagree with them. Using this kind of reasoning, you can believe or not believe anything about anything, without having to bother to deal with facts or logic.
Sun stand still?
"The machine of the universe is in the hand of God; he can stop the motion of any part, or of the whole of it, with less trouble and less danger of injuring it, than you can stop your watch." — Richard Watson to Thomas Paine, Letter 4, "An Apology for the Bible"

"I am no enemy to philosophy, but when philosophy would rob me of my Bible, I must say of it, as Cicero said of the twelve tables, "This little book alone exceeds the libraries of all the philosophers in the weight of its authority, and in the extent of its utility." #Apologetics
"What! Is it a story, then, that the world had a beginning, and that the author of it was God? If you deem this a story, I am not disputing with a deistical philosopher, but with an atheistic madman." - Richard Watson, to Thomas Paine, in "An Apology for the Bible" (1796)
"That which has been is that which shall be; and that which has been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun."
