BREAKING: MEDIA STATEMENT

The Madlanga Commission has been inundated with requests for its answering affidavits in the urgent application brought by Major-General Feroz Khan. As a courtesy to the applicant, the Commission deferred the release of its affidavits until a court order was finalised following a case management meeting before the Gauteng Acting Deputy Judge President, Madame Justice Lebogang Modiba.

That order was expected during the course of this (Monday) afternoon, but the applicant has delayed the preparation of the draft order for the court. As a result, the Commission is now releasing the complete bundle of papers.

The papers have been a matter of public record from the time they were filed in court and so, in response to the numerous requests it has received, the Commission is within its rights to now release the full set of papers to the media and public.
