@ThunderC2025 I ref u20s nationals in both nz/aus too "no where near the level of nba" but I understand how hard it is to be consistent with calls because you try not to call everything because honestly refs could call 1000 things every game, trying to find balance is impossible
One of the craziest stats of the Finals, and this is probably due to a ton of fatigue having to deal with Wemby, but KAT has not scored a single point in the 4th quarter of any of the 3 games.
@EverydayRCA Yep same argument for wemby though he gets pulled and arms hung on heaps 0 calls, yesterday they got one but only because spurs challenged and had it reviewed
@ThunderC2025 Playoffs holding and hand checking is normal asf, every team gets away with lots in playoffs, if it feels like some get away with more its usually cause they are just moving feet properly etc you really think brunson able to guard other guards without hand checking
@EverydayRCA Yea man I ref local leagues men's, u20s etc its tough asf you miss things because it's fast, you let things slide because you also don't want to call everything. Its a balance. If you called everything in a game there would legit be 1000 whistles
Would love to hear ya take on the free throw gap between teams
I've seen it alot and I think people aren't realizing all points in the paint are equal to why you should have more free throws
Lots of variables imo
It's also excuses considering knicks won 2 games with less.
Castle
"I just try to stay aggressive and tire them out for the full 48 minutes (speaking on SGA and Brunson). Keep them uncomfortable"
While still scoring 23 points on 8/14.
I'm not saying I'm a super fan yet. But this is like 90s guard type of play. Gotta respect it
@EverydayRCA Yea tough because sometimes teams get in bonus and then a few rough calls happen but because of bonus you get free throws which usually end up being why they have more.
@ThunderC2025 Where spurs lots of paint touches are literally players forcing through 2+ players = more contact on drives etc
Spurs legit got dudes who brick mostly so they live at the rim
Whenever spurs struggle its usually because they are settling to much for jumpers.
@ThunderC2025 Yea but if you go off free throws per game in the playoffs its not as big of a gap, I am not saying just that game either, each game usually has bonus early in quarters or silly fouls that lead to that free throw discrepancy.
