You're a cop. You have the choice every day to either interact with criminals or normal people. Same pay either way, boss doesn't care what you do.

It's obvious why this keeps happening - and it's because we (normal people) allow it.

At a minimum, "name and badge number" them, and then send them on their way. In the UK, make sure to use very specific language "you're making me uncomfortable", "did you choose to interact with me based on my race?", etc. Use their loony leftism as a weapon against them.
