My issue is how, as you said, it's clearly the case of the players needing to adapt to him. Not the other way. Neco looks a liability and MGW isn't optimised. Comfortably the two best players last season.

@ScottF_NFFC We'll have success under Glasner if he gets given time, I'm sure. However that may look. What I predicted in pre-season regarding the squad character and quality is playing out (stunned me that I was in the minority). The current issues aren't really his fault... BUT...

Neco criticism is silly. We’ve watched him struggle to take advantage of the areas he gets into on the left side for years, so I think it was brainless of the club to think it’d click when given even more responsibility. Should’ve signed a mirrored Munoz for the left. #nffc

The only slight criticism I have of OG is his decision to replicate his Palace system despite the obvious holes here. Lots of work still to do.

Beyond that, some of these players just aren’t very good and (to repeat) fan expectations remain wildly out of proportion. #nffc

@thabit_mcfc @mcimali @Sxne19iv2 Not a chance a team like us agreed to that (look at how we sell players). Part of going for McAtee will have been his growth potential for a sale; he’s not proven. At the very best, I imagine a 55-60m sell-on. Too much risk in the transfer to buy at £30m for a measly £10m profit.

@MonnyDachismo @ScottF_NFFC @Allsebrook94 I don't think a club at our level deserves/should expect to be finishing higher than that after changing their manager and selling their best player tbh. It's not impossible, but it takes a lot of great planning and luck. Brentford deserve immense credit...

@MonnyDachismo @ScottF_NFFC @Allsebrook94 My main concern is MGW resetting everything next summer, but if we can get a year of adapting to Glasner under our belts, successfully reviving McAtee and Delap, hopefully becoming less reliant on MGW in the process, it'll be a success to me. Be more aggressive EARLY next year.

@MonnyDachismo @ScottF_NFFC @Allsebrook94 Would someone like Glasner have been available next summer? Marinakis is desperate for a trophy and Glasner has a track record of delivering for underdogs. I don't believe Marinakis will be happy with 12th-15th this season, but it's coming. I'd rather we went earlier than bigger.
