A charity who change the lives of high risk young people by teaching life-saving first aid skills and empowering young people to tackle knife crime in Notts.
Huge thank you to @MedicineUoN for talking about @StreetDoctors in the graduation speech today!! A wonderful surprise and something I am very proud of ❤️
Please please read this. To help our children and young people it is surely helpful for everyone to at least know a little more about the scope and character of challenges facing our youth. https://t.co/fqMqWjncbn
"The government has the capacity to tackle knife crime, but there is no evidence that it has the will. It takes longer than a tabloid news cycle to see the patterns and engage with the people affected." https://t.co/YQwOxJDAOV
Great to hear such moving stories from @Redthreadyouth included in the series. I’m proud to be a @StreetDoctors volunteer, also working to support young people and help teach skills that can save lives.
Since 2013 our young volunteers have taught over 10,000 other young people vital first aid skills. We’re committed in playing our part to #endyouthviolence. Our volunteers intend to teach many more young people to become life savers in their community #FridayFeeling

Really pleased our work is featured in #TheObserver this weekend. A huge tribute to our #volunteers across the UK and the pioneering work of young doctors @CharlotteNearyB@NickRhead2@sijackson99 50 New Radicals for 2018: how you can make a difference https://t.co/N90SweiQ6b
In 2017 (the first time ever) @LDNairamb attended more stabbings and shootings than traffic collisions. 560 in total. A sobering statistic. Thank you to everyone @LDNairamb for doing all you can to support victims of violent injuries. https://t.co/CGQDNip2te
Sobering to read @gareth_grier account of the reality for trauma doctors delivering open chest surgery on the street. “This would have been unheard of a few years back”. https://t.co/tpqK54cLn1
Nothing I’d rather be doing than teaching with @NottsStreetDocs team mates when I found out I had passed my finals...Dr Mouse! #InternationalWomenDay spent with these powerhouse kind and passionate women! A good day!
Fantastic evening with @garyyounge who makes learning about violence and key social and public health issues accessible to all. Thanks for chatting to me about @StreetDoctors, which I am always so proud to represent!
Communities most heavily affected by violence and shootings follow the same patterns as those affected by infectious diseases. Violence is an epidemic. @garyyounge illustrates this by shedding light on children shot dead in USA #publichealth#violence

We are pleased to announce that StreetDoctors taught a staggering 3511 young people in 2017!
Although we are hugely proud of this achievement, we know it is still not enough. This is why in 2018 we’re pushing to teach even more young people and working to help #endyouthviolence
