@Bootystar_G Back in 2021 I asked Sheldon Menery (before he unfortunately passed) how the rules committee came to certain conclusions regarding the format ban list as it was around that time that Kaldheim had just released and WotC were beginning to release more EDH focused sets.

@Bootystar_G Whether or not WotC actually listen to them or respect their sentiment is another story entirely, and it's what drives a lot of conflict amongst players especially in online play, and honestly that does kinda suck.

@Bootystar_G The TLDR of that conversation was basically him telling me about the rules committee having little agency in how WotC capitalize/market the format and that they establish bans as a signpost for playstyles that facilitate an un fun environment

@Bootystar_G My main issue at the time was with how Tergrid power crept Braids and I was wondering if we'd see a release of some of those older gated cards back into the competitive format. However the sentiment the rules committee shared with WotC abroad was far more separated than I thought
