Algorithms make it tough to know what to trust on social media. Nourishable partnered with the @museumofscience in Boston and @tuftsctsi to create 10 tips to help you navigate nutrition claims like a scientist. https://t.co/pFCTDJYUMU
Check out the latest Nutrition for Mortals podcast where I join registered dietitians Matt and Jen to delve into the weeds about why you can save your money on current direct-to-consumer DNA nutrition tests...and why they may do more harm than good. https://t.co/TFR6rKNLpo
It was so much fun talking about how many times I've sent my 💩 in the mail with RDNs Matt and Jen on the Nutrition for Mortals podcast! We dig into the current evidence base of direct-to-consumer microbiome tests for personalized nutrition. https://t.co/7sYuNVd5Nr
Sometimes these n-of-1 experiments involve day drinking for science. Thanks to @Levels for sponsoring this video so I could nerd out on data. https://t.co/954BEGLWAp #metabolichealth
If someone has ever told you that walking isn't good enough exercise, send this video to them and wait for them to give you a “touché.” https://t.co/UfYJQuXCcB #walking#nutrition#healthy#metabolichealth
Lara and Sam didn’t get the memo that Halloween already happened. Also, “healthy” doesn’t mean what it used to. New #NNN out now! https://t.co/gV5WFP6WKj
@DS_BEH353 My understanding is that it is the acetic acid that is the active ingredient when it comes to lowering of blood sugar (as inconsistent as that effect may be!), and acetic acid is common across all vinegars, not just ACV!
@patrick_isimang I just released a video digging into ACV on blood sugar! I found the impact to be pretty inconsistent in my experiments and the research literature. https://t.co/0yD2UHZ2rI
I ran an n-of-1 experiment testing the impact of exercise on my blood #glucose response from drinking a smoothie - and the impact was huge. Even small bouts of physical activity can dampen postprandial glycemic spikes. https://t.co/MAGrInIjPr
Apple cider vinegar is claimed to blunt your blood sugar response to food. I used @Levels to run some experiments and was VERY surprised by the results. https://t.co/0yD2UHZ2rI
Does the #dirtydozen have you afraid to eat strawberries and cherries if they're not #organic? Turns out the @ewg pesticide ranking system for produce lacks scientific validity. Check out my latest video for the deep dive https://t.co/OaDhRpsDgK
