@prof_g@Penn I avoid the the term "chain rule" and instead use the term composition rule. Since switching I have noticed that students tend to grasp the concept more easily.
@kimdayers I usually send them some of my videos on finding eigenvalues and eigenvectors. I have also held an optional session outside of class for a more formal introduction to eigenvalues and eigenvectors. https://t.co/YOZTCxV212
@Mrs_Meowmerz Good lesson to simplify the function first: sec^2(x) - tan^2(x) = 1. Therefore, dy/dx of sec^2(x) - tan^2(x) is equal to dy/dx of 1 which equals 0.
Make that three in a row. Each one has its own unique story, training, personal journey and learning experience. I feel very fortunate to work with such a talented group of students. Look forward to working with the next group. @NOVAcommcollege
Are you coming to @NOVAcommcollege this fall? Register for our "Ramp Up for Math and English" workshops, designed to help students brush up on the skills they will need for credit Math or ENG 111. Workshops are FREE. Sign up at https://t.co/RTTeAXG8iW
Happy Pi Day. Made with our mini Japanese Zen garden. The three rocks symbolize the first digit in Pi ~ 3.14 and the bridge symbolizes an arc. 4* arctan(1) = Pi (radians).
Happy Pythagorean Day
12/16/20
12^2 + 16^2 = 20^2
These tables are located at the Neil-Cochran House Museum near the University of Texas campus.
The next Pythagorean day will be on 7/24/25.
I have a new YouTube channel called Doctrina which is Latin for learning. I currently have about 70 of my own math supplementary videos on calculus and will be adding more for other subjects. https://t.co/ApLi8vOYk4
