Magaisa wekuTEMU Strikes Again!

Vana Lynne are those types of low key haters who will show their true colours once you fall out with them.

Hanzi I am a Magaisa wekuTEMU! 🤣🤣🤣People have alerted me to that - which is really petty, mean spirited & unwarranted.

Please note that I have never claimed to be him, & don't need to. As I have always said, he was in a league of his own.

He had a gem of a heart & was always gracious towards me & my work - always appreciating what I wrote & encouraging to do more of it. It's only work commitments that have always held me back.

Many don't know, including madam wema Dhakisi avo, that I & Alex were only a few streams apart at UZ, our paths crossed there, were very close here in the UK & worked extremely well together on many leading legal, social & political cases of the day. He was a brother to me as we both share the same totem!

I don't need validation from social media because that is not where I draw my income from. Writing is simply a hobby that I enjoy & am passionate about. I am absolutely comfortable in my own skin & legacy.

Magaisa studied Arts, including History & English Literature. He started at Avonlea Primary School, I started at Louis Mount Batten before we both left for schools elsewhere.

There are many here that don't know, and it will stay that way. I prefer keeping my private life mostly private.

Because we are from the same generation, most of our English Literature set books were the same and, in that vein, our diction & syntax is likely to be similar.

If I ever write my memos, many will then realise that the cheap shots at me were never warranted. There is absolutely nothing special about me.

I am a simple guy from Nerutanga. They raise them humble but resilient there. There isn't anything I didn't do, from herding cattle to tilling fields etc until relocating to Harare at some point!

I enrolled at the UZ's School of Law via merit - from Mt Pleasant High & was the only one to make it in my stream.

As you can all imagine, I was ribbed for this at UZ for so many years, which helped in developing the thick skin needed to navigate life.

A simple political disagreement on X should not ordinarily result in this level of drama, insults smearing unless if there had always been hate underneath!

Why are our hospitals and clinics overwhelmed? Foreign policy affects domestic policy.

The ANC supported two corrupt parties in the SADC region and as those countries failed, their citizens came to South Africa, some followed the legal route and others did not.

The two largest immigrant populations in South Africa are from Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Why is that the case?

The ANC supported and enabled Zanu PF and Frelimo. These parties were looting their nations and causing mass poverty. They were rigging elections but instead of condemning those election results ANC endorsed them.

As a result those who sought to vote out these corrupt regimes failed. Elections were rigged, activists killed and voters frustrated.

The problems in our hospitals and clinics is a result of the dictatorship in Zimbabwe. Those thugs who run that country stole everything including elections. We must be honest about this part of the issue.

We need stronger borders but let’s be clear, unless we deal with the root causes of the problem which are Zanu PF and Frelimo we will not solve these challenges.

Let us also be aware that there are some who are trying to bury their own failures under the grave of immigration.

Auditors are being murdered on the streets because they have uncovered corruption. There are leaders who have stolen billions from the people for decades and built mansions.

There are leaders who have failed to prioritise education and building manufacturing capacity. They are now playing politics of scapegoating to hide their hand and avoid accountability.

This problem needs to be dealt with at the foreign policy level. We need to stop supporting these corrupt parties and their dictatorships. We need to call for free and fair elections in every SADC nation.

We need to hold those who rig elections accountable. We need to call for election reforms before those elections are due. The ANC needs to realise that there is a new revolution in Africa.

The oppressed are now being oppressed by Zanu PF and Frelimo. They are not the good guys anymore. They are part of the problem.
