@bingle_colin @maryam_dh I do not personally know any professor or graduate student who has ever engaged in plagiarism or fraud. I know of people like Francesca Gino who got fired from Harvard for research fraud, and I read Retraction Watch. These people are the exception not the rule.

@bingle_colin @maryam_dh Same, in 250+ pages of my Ph.D. thesis I never used more than 4 consecutive words from a source without direct quotes, out of principle, and also out of knowing the consequences of plagiarism. I want nothing to do with anyone or any institution that makes excuses for plagiarism.

@kevinjonheller False. Arday's actions aren't really the story here. Had he been fired when the evidence was first discovered, there would be no story now. This is a story about the mostly white affluent liberals and their institutions who looked the other way and covered the evidence up.
