⚖️COURT UPDATE⚖️ Nicki Minaj’s former law firm is asking a Los Angeles judge to enter a DEFAULT JUDGMENT against her and Harajuku Barbie Music for $295,605.41.

On August 20, 2026, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP filed its request for judgment against Nicki Minaj and Harajuku Barbie Music, LLC.

The law firm previously sued both defendants for allegedly failing to pay legal bills connected to its representation of Minaj in the Julius Johnson lawsuit.

According to the newly filed declarations, Nicki and Harajuku entered into a Legal Services Agreement with Gordon Rees in October 2024.

The firm says it provided the agreed-upon legal services but was left with $229,541.75 in UNPAID legal fees.

Gordon Rees says the contract also allowed a 1% monthly late charge on unpaid balances.

Through June 26, 2026, the firm calculates those late charges at $25,249.51.

The firm is now asking the Court to award👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
• $229,541.75 in unpaid legal fees
• $25,249.51 in contractual late charges
• $37,825.00 in attorneys’ fees
• $2,989.15 in litigation costs
TOTAL: $295,605.41

And Gordon Rees is asking that the judgment be entered against Nicki Minaj and Harajuku Barbie Music JOINTLY AND SEVERALLY, meaning the firm would be able to pursue either defendant for the full judgment amount if the Court grants the request.

The filing also asks for additional contractual late charges that continue to accrue until judgment is entered.

The reason Gordon Rees can now seek a default judgment is because defaults have already been entered against BOTH defendants after they failed to respond to the complaint.

The filings state that default was entered against Harajuku Barbie Music in May and against Nicki Minaj in July.

The Court has NOT yet entered that monetary judgment. The judge must still review the default-judgment request and determine what amount, if any, should be awarded.
