@MrJoeKeenan I recall a Sondheim interview in which he explained that he specifically structured Send In The Clowns to suit Glynis Johns’ vocal range, hence the lyrics are set out in short phrases.
@ProfBrianCox First question to the aliens should be “do you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour”? Presumably they’re made by the same God who made us and therefore worship the same deity?
@MichaelWarbur17 John Oates has confirmed that the Hall & Oates song Maneater is about (and at the very least was inspired by) Kelly Le Brock - as per Professor of Rock https://t.co/AfWX4bILZN
@MichaelWarbur17 Bilko’s always brilliant - thanks for sharing. The entire series is available on YouTube, essential viewing for any would-be comedy writer in particular.
@shaneoneill@Rubberbandits If I remember correctly, they used to say he was the first “English-speaking rider” to win, because no previous prizewinning cyclist could speak English apparently.
@MichaelWarbur17 Thanks for sharing this - the footage reminded me that this beautiful song by Mary Chapin Carpenter includes a verse recalling her memories of the funeral train… https://t.co/5P5Auqropn
@MooseAllain Superb insight into the creative mind - had never heard of Anni Albers so it was the work of Sean Scully that came to mind first when watching the film. Hopefully much more to come from Karen!

@wbedford Excellent - reminds me that on their song Even Better Than The Real Thing (recorded in Berlin) U2 based the song’s opening slide guitar motif on the sound made by the U2 U-Bahn train starting up - at least that’s what it sounded like to me when I was on that train!
@bmccar@RanelaghLife My friend Bill has had this bike for 25 years and it was robbed in town during Culture Night last night - @Glic16 could you retweet please - thank you.
Some unfortunate person needed to borrow my bike last night. I locked it to a railing near the Shelbourne on Stephens Green. I don’t think it’s sellable - it kinda sticks out. So, maybe the Twitter could help me find it / get it back 🤞 @RanelaghLife please forward 😄
