Gleyo, Post Hackathon Update 🚀
It's been a few days since sharing Gleyo during the @ZecHub Hackathon.
Since posting on July 14, Gleyo has reached 33 weekly active users, completing quests, earning shielded ZEC rewards, and testing nearly every part of the platform.
Two things I shipped this week:
Queued withdrawals. Withdrawals now process safely in sequence instead of one at a time platform-wide, essential for Gleyo to scale to more communities running simultaneously without overwhelming @NozyWallet.
Multi-token off-ramp. Inspired by @zksquirrel, communities can now fund campaigns with USDT/USDC instead of ZEC upfront. Gleyo auto-settles it into shielded ZEC behind the scenes, lowering the barrier to get started without moving away from ZEC.
My goal has never been just another community platform. I want @Zcash communities, Web3 projects, and even Web2 organizations to grow through better onboarding and retention, while making Zcash feel almost invisible to newcomers. People join, contribute, earn rewards, and experience private digital money, discovering Zcash's benefits by using it, not by studying it first.
Thanks to @dismad for encouraging me to share Gleyo publicly. The feedback since then has made this project significantly better.

Still building. 🚀
NozyWallet now works with Zakura.
New Zcash node faster sync & prune-friendly ops. Same RPC wire-up as Zebrad, so if you run Zakura you can sync and send with Nozy without a special backend.
More node choice = stronger self-custody stack.

24 hours since sharing Gleyo with the Zcash community. 🛡️
I genuinely didn't expect this.
In just 24 hours, 31 people have already signed up and started using Gleyo on Zcash mainnet.
Even better, they weren't just creating accounts. They were actually using it:
• Funded the Gleyo community wallet with $ZEC
• Users connected shielded wallets
• Quests were completed
• Shielded ZEC withdrawals were made on mainnet
• Community conversations started inside Gleyo
• Real feedback came in that's already helping improve the platform
One thing that surprised me the most:
None of those 31 users watched the demo video first.
They simply explored the product on their own, figured out how to connect a wallet, complete quests, and withdraw shielded ZEC without needing a walkthrough. As a builder, that's probably the most encouraging feedback I could ask for.
I've also received a lot of kind comments about the UI/UX, and even a community admins reach out because they're interested in using Gleyo for their own communities.
My goal with building Gleyo has never been just to submit something for the @ZecHub Hackathon.
The vision is much bigger.
I want regional communities, global ecosystem projects, and even projects outside the @Zcash ecosystem to have a simple way to onboard, engage, and retain contributors while rewarding them privately with shielded ZEC.
Privacy shouldn't come at the cost of usability.
If you're curious about what powers Gleyo, from community creation to real mainnet shielded activity, the entire codebase is open source.

Building Gleyo has been an incredible experience, and this is only the beginning. 🚀
I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. If there's anything you'd like to see in Gleyo, let me know below. 👇
Introducing Gleyo, the missing growth layer for @Zcash
A ZEC-native quest & community growth platform.
Real shielded wallets, real ZEC rewards, built-in community chat, real on-chain proof, no custodial games, no vanity metrics, no juggling 5 different tools.
Built for the @ZecHub Hackathon 3.0, Infrastructure track

Wallet verification, quest publishing, GitHub task completion, instant ZEC rewards, community chat, retention analytics, shielded withdrawals.
All live on mainnet.
Built on a self-hosted Zebra node + @Nozywallet (@ZcashFoundation). Paid via @zodl_app in the demo, solid UX, but any shielded wallet works with Gleyo.
