Before judging BTS’s stance on Chris Brown, you need to understand how the Korean music industry actually works. A quick breakdown: 👇
Feel free to share...
@bangtanniekoo The more a band grows in popularity, the more weirdo haters they attract - It is just a colour... People need to find hobbies other than social media.
@pinksbabymon Its up to them who they choose as role models. Not the biggest issue. On the flip side if they are removing people for having contact with a DV abuser, they should check through the entire list. Some questionable figures are on there...
@ygponde I think a lot of them are haters to be honest... Stirring the pot to create this divide. Many fans support BTS without engaging with the fan community, probably the healthiest way of being a fan to be honest.
@lea_ot7 I would be careful about which charities you donate to, because in many countries, only 3% needs to go towards the victims in order to take in money for charity. I am always suspicious of what happens to the other 97%...
@lybtsv Hybe are SO reliant on BTS for profits. This year, so far, BTS has brought in 60% of Hybe's profits. Cortis only 2.37%. BTS leaving would trigger a massive financial & structural meltdown for Hybe. It would result in a Total Stock Market Crash & severe budget cuts for other acts.
@geonjju Furthermore, they would lose their leverage in the industry resulting in loss of global deals with brands, a smaller platform for their artists and everything would be scaled back.

There is a girl on reddit trying to create a 'Signs Protest' at a BTS concert against BTS. 🙄🙄🙄
Let people just enjoy a concert.
If you want to read, its on Army Neutral.
@ThePopBase Statistically, it is only 5% of the fanbase that are upset about this issue. But they are loud as hell online. 🙄 The other 95% aren't bothered. Also BTS won't apologise. Its a bad PR move, so I don't really know what they want from this situation.
@ygponde They won't mention it. It is a bad PR move to acknowledge or apologise for it. By doing this, this cause a huge storm with the press. They will stay silent and let this burn out. Which I think is better because I cannot handle any more drama tbh.
@lilspicypepper7 So please understand that some people did not have it in them to have these conversations with all the awful actions displayed by some fans because of their disappointment over the past few days.
@lilspicypepper7 I am from a country that is laid back. They do not take things personally. So to deal with people making threats, referring to members of this community as 'dumb b******', attacking anyone with an opposing opinion to being disappointed, accusing us of endorsing abuse is wild.
@lilspicypepper7 The way that some fans have approached this issue has been way too much. It has created such a negative space in the community that people are fed up with it. It is so exhausting to hear, listen to and witness. It isn't everyone. But it has knocked some of us for six.
@fishrkive I think people have blown this out of proportion. They also won't get an apology, so they need to figure out their next steps because this whole thing is not healthy. It is not like BTS abused a woman or hit a child. They did not even collaborate with him. Very extreme reactions
