What a wonderful opportunity for our Sixth Form French group - a fascinating chat with Elyamine Settoul, lecturer of Science Politique about the history of immigration in France and changing attitudes to immigration through the years. @voyagerschools
Un grand merci to Dr Charlotte Legg for her fascinating lecture on French colonialism at the University of London in Paris. So empowering for our Sixth Form French group to experience a University lecture in French - and to understand so well! @uol_paris
A fascinating visit to Soupe St Eustache soup kitchen in Paris where the Sixth Form French group had an inspiring tour and fascinating conversations with volunteers there. Bringing A level topics to life!
Another great day visiting the Eiffel Tower, seeing Notre Dame and shopping down Rivoli. We then spent a rather wet evening in Montmartre where we enjoyed the beautiful basilica of the Sacré Coeur and a typical meal in La Bonne Franquette.
What a wonderful first day in Paris! Year 10 enjoyed a typical French market on the Rue Mouffetard, seeing the imposing Arc de Triomphe followed by a stroll down the Champs Elysées and a picnic in the Jardin des Tuilleries, ending the day at the musée d'Orsay and a boat trip.
Samedi 24 février
The Sixth Form had a great day today, starting with an Amélie walking tour of Montmartre, followed by lunch in front of Notre Dame and then a visit to the Museum Marmottan. We finished with a lovely boat trip on
the Seine.
Icebreakers with our animateur Faissal on the first evening of the Paris language immersion trip. Already having lots of fun and practising lots of French! #Voyager
Upper 2 enjoyed a trip to the Planetarium and a visit to the Space Centre shop in the afternoon. Due to an earlier closure of the A14, we are now due back at school at 7pm.
Upper 2 are having a lovely time at the National Space Centre, Leicester. After a morning of exploring the exhibits, we are now doing some rocket science!
Year 6 are all back on the coach. We have had a tremendous day!
We will be stopping at the services on our way home and will send out our eta for collection from Christchurch Road.
