We had a fabulous afternoon today with a visit from a very special guest; Tipperary and Moneygall Camogie Player Mary Ryan. She came to the school to present our U13 girls Gaelic football team with their county final winning medals🏅

It has been a busy few weeks creating Christmas trees with Mrs O’Dowd as part of the EAL lessons. The children all contributed to creating a Christmas scene during EAL lessons with Christmas trees made from old library books. They have titled the scene “Moneygall Winter World”❄️

5th & 6th started the 10 week STEAM in a box programme today. We’re very lucky to have Brian Quinlan to facilitate the programme & share his expertise & knowledge with us. A massive thank you to Brian for nominating our school to take part in the programme with his company BAM 👏🏻

The past four weeks 5th & 6th have been learning the skills & knowledge that they need to cycle safely on the road. They finished the Cycle Right Programme today with a cycle around the village, putting everything they’ve practiced into action 🚴

Moneygall NS are U13 County Gaelic Football Champions 🏆 Well done to our girls who won their county final today against Dualla NS. Hard luck to Dualla NS, thank you for a great game! We are very proud of this bunch of girls. Congratulations on a fantastic win today girls 🏆⚫️🔴

A massive “Thank You” to everyone who supported the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal this year. This will help bring gifts to children affected by poverty across the world this Christmas. Over 50 boxes were filled & dropped to the school & donations were also made online 🎁

Yesterday 3rd, 4th & 5th attended a circus workshop. They tried hula hoops, flower stick tricks & plate spinning. They really enjoyed the day & we were so impressed by their skills! A big thank you to Cloughjordan Circus Club for inviting us to take part in such a fun workshop 🎪

Safe cycling lessons began today for 5th/6th Class. The approved provider is ‘Birr Outdoors Education & Training Centre’ & their aim is to promote competent & confident cyclists. 5th & 6th enjoyed their 1st session outside today & are looking forward to the next few weeks 🚴
