Their faith was unshakeable. Their legacy, unforgettable.
Today we pause to honour the Uganda Martyrs who chose conviction over comfort, and whose courage continues to speak across generations.
Happy Martyrs' Day. 🕯️

The problem isn’t talent. It’s exposure gap.
Too many brilliant engineers, fabricators, technicians, and innovators leave school without ever touching industrial-grade equipment, solving real manufacturing challenges, or working inside a production ecosystem.
That gap is exactly why the EDiC Engineering Boot Camp exists.
This is not another classroom program.
It is an industry-driven engineering experience designed to bridge the space between technical knowledge and industrial application.
At EDiC, we believe industrial transformation starts with building practical capability. That means creating engineers who can design, prototype, fabricate, troubleshoot, maintain, innovate, and manufacture solutions that respond to Uganda’s real needs.
The Boot Camp directly supports EDiC’s mission of:
⚙️ Strengthening local manufacturing capabilities.
⚙️ Building industry-ready technical talent.
⚙️ Accelerating innovation commercialization.
⚙️ Creating a generation of solution-oriented engineers.
Participants will work in a live manufacturing environment alongside practicing engineers using advanced industrial systems, tools, and processes, the kind of exposure that transforms potential into competence.
Because the future of engineering belongs to people who can BUILD.
If you are serious about manufacturing, product development, fabrication, industrial systems, or deep-tech innovation, this is your lane.
Applications are now open.

Building Uganda's Future today!
We Officially Present the EDiC Interim Board🔐
We are proud to introduce the Interim Board of the Engineering Development and Innovation Centre (EDiC). A distinguished team of leaders providing strategic guidance as we advance our mission to drive industrial transformation and engineering innovation in Uganda.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by the Minister responsible for the Science, Technology and Innovation Secretariat, Dr. Monica Musenero Masanza, who called on the Board to champion EDiC's growth into a financially self-sustaining institution; one capable of meaningfully supporting Uganda's broader innovation ecosystem. She urged Board members to remain open, receptive, and responsive to the ideas of Uganda's engineers and innovators, emphasising that good governance must create space for creativity and bold thinking to thrive.
The Interim Board plays a vital role in strengthening EDiC's governance and shaping the Centre's long-term strategic direction. Drawing on extensive experience across engineering, industry, business, and public service, they provide the oversight needed to support our institutional growth and expanding national impact. Their leadership is deepening partnerships, unlocking new opportunities, and accelerating EDiC's work in advanced manufacturing, innovation commercialisation, capacity building, and enterprise incubation.
