Karnataka is set to introduce India’s first dedicated Sustainable Data Centre Policy, placing sustainability at the core of our next phase of digital infrastructure growth. The policy targets 1 GW of data centre capacity by 2031 and a 10-12% share of India’s AI-ready data centre ecosystem.

With a proposed outlay of ₹1,300.45 crore, it will support investment, green energy, skilling, R&D, connectivity and local manufacturing, with incentives linked to power and water efficiency. It will also support edge data centres, cable landing stations and AI and quantum-ready infrastructure.

The policy proposes Sustainable Data Centre Zones, a dedicated Centre of Excellence and resource heat mapping to guide responsible growth around power and water availability, while enabling new corridors across Beyond Bengaluru.

As AI and cloud infrastructure scale, Karnataka is building a future-ready, resource-efficient and sustainable digital infrastructure ecosystem across the State.

ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆ ಅಸ್ತು ಎಂದಿದೆ.

ಕರಾವಳಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಲಿರುವ 2ನೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್‌ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಇದಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 549.79 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಡ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಉನ್ನತ ದರ್ಜೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭಿಸಲಿದೆ.

ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬಲವರ್ಧನೆಗೆ ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ದಿಟ್ಟ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ.

Karnataka is taking a major step towards building a high-value Blue Bioeconomy with India's first comprehensive Karnataka Marine Biotechnology Policy 2026-31, targeting growth to $8 billion by 2031.

At the centre of the policy will be the Karnataka Institute of Marine Biotechnology and Blue Economy (KIMBE), advanced research infrastructure, dedicated Marine Biotechnology Zones with plug-and-play facilities and startup incubation, with an “Ocean to Market” ambition of 100 marine biotechnology products by 2030.

The policy introduces a Seaweed Value Addition PLI and a Blue Carbon Certification Programme, while supporting high-value applications across biomaterials, bioplastics, nutraceuticals, biofertilisers and biofuels. The policy also aims to create around 2,500 high-value technical jobs and 7,500 coastal enterprise and livelihood opportunities.

Karnataka’s coastline holds immense untapped potential and with the State already a national leader in biotechnology, we have the scientific strength, talent and ecosystem to build this into a globally competitive Blue Bioeconomy.

ನಾಡಿನ ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ತರುವುದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಧ್ಯೇಯ. `ಗೃಹಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ' ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ 1.24 ಕೋಟಿ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಣ ಪಾವತಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದೀಗ 2026-27ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಕಂತಿಗಾಗಿ ₹2,500 ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅರ್ಹ ಗೃಹಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯರ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಖಾತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಡಿಬಿಟಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಮೊತ್ತ ತಲುಪಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬಿ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಾವು ಸದಾ ಬದ್ಧ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಆಸರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿವೆ.
