This evening, I inspected the construction of Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, ahead of the Mashujaa Day celebrations.

We are impressed by the pace and quality of the upgrading works at the stadium.

Although not yet complete, the 15,000-seater stadium is in good shape to host this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations.

The stadium is being upgraded to world standards, featuring a modern football pitch, an improved running track, modern changing rooms, an expanded VIP pavilion, and modern floodlighting.

We have put in place adequate measures to ensure the security of those attending the celebrations. We urge everyone to adhere to the laid-down safety guidelines.
