TEMA OIL REFINERY RECEIVES 1 MILLION BARRELS OF BONGA CRUDE FOR REFINING OPERATIONS
Tema, Ghana – May 27, 2026
Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) is pleased to announce the arrival of approximately 1,000,000 barrels of Bonga Crude Oil aboard the MT Cap Felix as part of its ongoing refinery revitalization and crude processing program.
The crude oil cargo was purchased from Shell and supplied through TOR’s tolling partner, Fujeirah/Triangle Commodities Trading (TCT), under an arrangements aimed at supporting the refinery’s operational recovery and ensuring sustained petroleum product supply to the Ghanaian market.
The receipt of the Bonga Crude marks another significant milestone in TOR’s efforts to restore stable refining activities, improve national energy security, and reduce Ghana’s dependence on imported refined petroleum products.
Bonga Crude, known for its high-quality low-sulphur characteristics and favorable refining yields, is expected to produce substantial volumes of premium petroleum products including LPG, gasoline, diesel, kerosene, ATK and fuel oil for the domestic and regional markets.
Management of TOR expressed appreciation to the Government of Ghana, regulatory institutions, financial partners, and all stakeholders whose support continues to contribute to the refinery’s operational resurgence.
TOR further reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, operational excellence, environmental responsibility, and the long-term transformation of the refinery into a competitive and commercially sustainable energy hub for Ghana and West Africa.
The refinery will continue to engage stakeholders and the public as operations progress.
Signed,
Management

A while ago, I laid the following reports before Parliament:
(a) Annual Report on the Management of the Energy Sector Levies and Accounts for the Year 2025.
(b) Reconciliation Report on the Petroleum Holding Fund for the Year 2025.
(c) Annual Public Debt Management Report for the 2025 Financial Year.
(d) Annual Report on Public-Private Partnership Projects for the Year 2025.
GN Bank was a victim of deliberate high-handedness. Dr. Nduom was essentially told, "You either sell to us, or you be damned."
The Bank of Ghana should not appeal the Court of Appeal's ruling. Instead, they should ensure that whatever becomes of GN Bank, it is regulated just like any other financial institution.
Sometimes, we are our own worst enemies. Supporting strong, law-abiding local companies is far better than sheepishly enabling foreign companies to become disproportionately prosperous—only for them to cart all the money away in foreign exchange.
Take Engineers and Planners (E&P)—they are superb operators of mines, but they do not necessarily have the experience managing mines. Once E&P lawfully acquires a mine, they should be encouraged to hire world-class experts to manage the mines well and respect all our laws. Get serious, Ghana!
The pain, anger and disgust shown by Lawyer Appiah Dankwa towards Bawumia and the NPP for the deaths, poverty, harm and wickedness they brought unto Ghanaians is the preview of how majority of Ghanaians feel about the NPP.
They won't understand until 2028 elections results.
Lawyer Appiah Dankwa torches Akuffo Addo and Ken Ofori Attah and makes damning revelations about the the "wicked and Vindictive" actions the NPP took to collapse Ghanaian businesses.
Chale! Lawyer Appiah Danquah was on fire this morning!🔥
Angry and upset like a wounded lion!
The npp really destroyed our financial sector and Ghanaians will never forget!
npp!🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
On my way to Sawla to begin a two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the Savanna Region. I am looking forward, after the project inspections and commencement of work on new projects, to my interaction with the chiefs, young Ghanaians and people of the region in Damongo on Saturday.
It is legally instructive to note that the A-G did not oppose the bail application in the Abronye case.
This is a marked departure from what we saw in the past.
Gradually, we shall get to our destination.
🥳🥳Today, we celebrate not just our leader, but a mother, mentor, and inspiration to many of us privileged to share this journey with you. 🙌🏾
Thank you for your sacrifices, your belief in people, and the strength and grace with which you lead. 👏🏾
May this new year bring you peace, joy, good health, and even greater fulfillment. We love and celebrate you today and always.
Happy birthday Mayor Ebi Bright. 🍾🥂🥳🥳
Anytime they shout about why Agenda111 is not completed, remember this is what the initiator in chief had to say. This is an admission that the project was not well considered before the announcement.
My Boss- you are delivering “back to back”
