Cambodia and Thailand signed a joint statement at the third Special General Border Committee meeting on December 27, confirming an immediate ceasefire effective at 12:00 noon. Both sides agreed to halt all attacks, including against civilians and civilian infrastructure, and to freeze troop positions with no further movement or reinforcement.

The agreement commits both countries to de-escalation, allowing displaced civilians to return home safely, refraining from provocative actions, airspace violations, and misinformation, and respecting international law and borders. The ASEAN Observer Team will monitor implementation, with coordination mechanisms and direct military communication lines in place.

The statement was co-signed by Tea Seiha and Nattaphon Narkphanit at the Prum–Ban Pak Kard border point in Pailin.
