Just back from my local Asda I haven't been in months the whole stores been changed around , I ask a member of staff where something was and he kindly takes me to the item , I ask him if when they do a refit like this if they provide a map at customer services to show the new layout of the store and explain how this could help autistic people who struggle with changes , oh he said that's a really good idea because some of our customers have really struggled with the change, I'll pass your idea onto head office, he was probably just being polite, but it does seem a very simple solution for people who would struggle with a change like this, shopping in supermarkets with a autistic child can be extremely stressful.

@lottyburns It’s a lot of trial and error - and what you feel you want to bother with . Grinding the beans is nice but a faff - and you ll find a cheap and a pricey brand you love equally - all about preference ( cheap one Aldi have a great Columbian )

@autcareandshare My son was a runner, I used to check in to Tescos so their security would guard the door 😆. When I told them about the bigger seat trollies for disabled kids and small adults I had seen on holiday, they had 2 delivered within the week-they were amazing with us

I'm doing some shopping on my own and a family walk past me mum with her daughter pushing a trolley son aged around 8 sat in the trolley with ear defenders on happily stimming to himself , a woman says to her husband he shouldn't be in there ,I say to the woman , believe me you do what works for you , she just pulls a face and walks off , ive been on the receiving end of comments like that people saying what we should and shouldn't be doing , when you've been awake for what seems like forever and it's taken you hours just to get out of the house and your ear is stilll numb from being on the phone for hours trying to get this or that for your child and the paperwork is stacking up those comments those snipes those remarks can be hurtful especially in the early days , a littbit of kindness goes a long way.
