Last week was pretty solid on the #reading #goal but things are gonna take a hit with me going vacation starting to.orrow. I am bringing a #novel and one #manga bit no loppies #comicbooks and I dont expect to be reading much except during transit.

Update on the #Reading #Goal - #Deathslinger actually took me a long time to get through due to those #prose sections. Loved the effort and energy in the art and story though. Also adding my first #TPB to the list. The #ComicBooks here kept me up to date on these titles.

A middling effort last week in my #reading #goal for 2025. Bit worried how my upcoming trip might derail me. Anyways, this time it was very #ImageComics centric, feat. #Spawn and #GIJoe. #Skybound is doing great with their licensed stuff. As for Spawn, I love the 90s #comicbooks

Well, the #reading #goal for 2025 keeps going, and this time it was overwhelmingly #MarvelComics #ComicBooks. The #XMen have been reinvented by Peach Momoko twice now, and this #Ultimate version of Psylocke is tangentially connected to the Demon Days version.

Pretty big week for my #reading #goal ! 100% #ImageComics #ComicBooks! Regularly the best publisher. #Transformers is amazing, with great art, but Copra and Dutch have an aesthetic I find more immediately #inspirational. I feel like i can far more easily reach their level.

Not a 🔥week for the #goal, but still more #reading than other weeks. #Manga shone, and I wish I could have visited #Kowloon. The #comicbooks were fun reads, #DC actually giving me better than average on #absolutebatman , but long term i'll probably still read more #Spawn stuff.

Last week was a slow one for my #reading #goal, but it was great for my #art... anyways, no big 2 #comicbooks this time, just #Image and #IDW. Wes Craig is queueing up some GREAT work with these two issues of Kaya. I'm also happy the crossover comic has the right tone.

Last week was a BIG one on the reading #goal for 2025. I finished all of these & started another #tankobon & a #NonFiction book. But they're far from "done." #ComicBooks was the bulk, particularly #Marvel #XMen related books. The #Image ones were overall better. #Manga was great.

Gotta admit, last week was a very slow one on the reading front. It's a marathon not a sprint so one stumble is not a bog deal.

#Manga remains extremely engaging, overall, but something about last week's #tankobon made it slow goings. Nevertheless, the #goal persists!

Still on the artboard and fibishe dthis weekend my #Yakitori Girl #illustration. #ink and #Paint (Acryllic Paint Markers) along woth obviously pencils, I do love traditional media. Very #punk energy was pppoured into this, as it was originally inspired by Otoboke Beaver.

Slow reading week last week, I did start more than I finished but this is what I finished. This time all #comics.
Two #comicbooks each from #Marvel and #Image respectively. Finally catching up on old #PeachMomoko work amd staying current with #Spawn 2099.

My #goal to read more in 2025 continues. Still very much in the #comicbooks and #mamga vibe. I particularly find the early manga releases, flipped ND scaled to western comic size fascinating. #RuriDragon may be the most compelling read of the week.

Week 2 and I've read 2 #manga #Tankobon and 4 #comicbooks for a cumulative total of 2 tankobon and 12 comics! Solid start and I'm enjoying this format.

I don't do "resolutions" but I do set goals. I want to read more in 2025 than I have in recent years. I have massive backlogs of #comicbooks, #n9vels, and #nonfiction books as well that I wanna get through. So I'm gonna post and keep track weekly to see how well I do!

I have a very non-tradtional workflow with #makingcomics, #inking as I go, I had fi ished the #illustrations in everything exce0t these two panels on this double page spread before o even #penciled them fully. Now I'm a small chunk into inking one, with the background unfinished.

I'm so used to doing all of my #art on a fully horizontal surface, so believe it or not there is a learning curve to this desktop art table, I wanna call it an easel bit it isn't. Either wY, it helps my back not suffer as much when I work on my #omicbook so yay.

Last week's #comicbooks that I read. UltraMega from #Image returned hard after a multi-year hiatus with an nsane #Tokusatsu flavored set of twists, and #XMen from #Marvel feels like just the right combo of 90s inspired energy meets post Krakoan diaspora. Damn I love comics.
