@toiletkingcap Try to separate the effort & improvement from the outcome + reward the former, but seems to be exactly what u are already doing.

Bloomberg reports:
As a result of Iranian attacks on the aluminum plant of the Emirates Global Aluminum Company in the Al-Tawila, the plant lost its power, the electrolysis lines stopped uncontrollably and the aluminum solidified right inside the smelting circuits.
The aluminum plant of the Bahrain Aluminum Company in Manama was also targeted by the attacks.
The aluminum plants in the Emirates and Manama were among the largest in the world, each producing 1.6 million tons of aluminum annually.
Imagine having 8GW of idle capacity while you spend $172B/yr importing fuels to make-up for it...
KK is the world's biggest power plant, i doubt 🇯🇵 will just let it go to waste

US #nuclear fuel and services company @centrus_energy expects shortages of cylinders to be temporary but says it will no longer be able to deliver the anticipated 900 kg of HALEU under the second part of its contract with the US Department of Energy https://t.co/jsVPOQxcTg
@gm_curious@quakes99 Anyone with an internet connection and a bit of creativity can definitely find a file with data up to 2008 sitting openly on their website. They might have a bit of tidying-up to do 😬

@quakes99, I had to scavenge quite a bit but the internet delivered. Historical SWU, conversion & UF₆
All data publicly available, deflated using CPI, several missing values extrapolated after 2008.

After closing its remaining nuclear power plants, Germany has today approved plans to subsidise a huge expansion of natural gas-fired power stations.
(As much as 10 GW, but the developers need to show they can convert into running on hydrogen at some point between 2035 and 2040)
@YellowCaker Really makes you wonder*if* Silex/GLE can ramp-up their laser enrichment fast, it would provide yet another pressure release valve for the front-end fuel supply chain
@AndrHlm@quakes99 Most Western conversion capacity was mothballed and became completely reliant on Russia for many years.
New capacity is starting to get brought online, but (clearly) not fast enough.
Can't comment on lead times needed, but will look into it.
@toiletkingcap More to come
'bout to bust some 6-D Fibonacci Elliott Waves on this dataset
