Ma'Khia Bryant was armed with a knife, did not stop when police arrived, and did not follow orders to stand down. Instead she went and lunged at another person. If the officer hadn't fired his gun, that woman being targeted could have sustained severe knife injuries or death.

To those saying, he should have used his taser or non-lethal means, usually cops have their guns already drawn as a way to encourage assailants to stop. He would not have had enough time to switch to his taser in order to stop the knife attack. This officer was totally justified.
