From our team in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, our beautiful arctic skies overlooking the Hudson Bay this morning. The work we do at Nukik is about more than projects—it’s about building the foundation for opportunity, resilience, and long-term northern leadership across our region.
Big congratulations to the Honourable John Main!
We’re proud to celebrate Nunavut’s new Premier. John has been a steadfast supporter of the Kivalliq Hydro-Fibre Link from the beginning, and his voice has helped push this nation-building project forward for the benefit of families and businesses across the region.
We also want to acknowledge our strong partnership with former Premier P.J. Akeeagok, whose leadership and collaboration helped bring the KHFL to this pivotal stage. His commitment to the Kivalliq and to critical enabling infrastructure for Nunavummiut laid important groundwork that continues to guide us today.
We’re grateful for P.J.’s leadership and support, and energized by what John’s election as Premier means for the KHFL and Nunavut’s future.
Our CEO, Anne-Raphaëlle Audouin, joined Nunavut Tunngavik in meeting with the Honourable Rebecca Chartrand to discuss Nunavut’s priorities and how we can make the north stronger with nation building projects like the KHFL.
Anne-Raphaëlle Audouin, CEO of Nukik Corporation, and Mike Spence, Mayor of Churchill and Chair of Arctic Gateway Group, participated in a panel discussion on "The Changing Northern Economy" at the 2025 Kivalliq Trade Show.
The Kivalliq Hydro-Fibre Link will create a strategic economic and energy corridor between Manitoba and Nunavut that will support further growth of the Port of Churchill and broader northern economic opportunities.
